Puskar Raj Pokhrel received his Master’s Degree in Mathematics from Tribhuvan University, Nepal in 1995 (AD) in the first division, and MPhil in 2014 (AD), from Kathmandu University, School of Science, Dhulikhel, Kavre Nepal, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Shiva P. Pudasaini and Prof. Dr. Dil B. Gurung. The topic of his MPhil dissertation is General Phase-Eigenvalues for Two-phase Mass Flows: Supercritical and Subcritical States. Dr. Pokhrel has visited the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany in 2014 for research stay under the DAAD program South Network: Modeling and Analysis in Industry and Finance. He received his PhD in 2019 (AD) from Kathmandu University, School of Science, Department of Mathematics, Dhulikhel, Kavre Nepal, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Bhadra Man Tuladhar and Prof. Dr. Shiva P. Pudasaini. The topic of his PhD dissertation is Generalized Quasi Two-Phase Bulk Mixture Models for Mass Flow. Dr. Pokhrel is currently working in the Department of Applied Sciences & Chemical Engineering, Pulchowk Campus, Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University, Nepal in the capacity of Associate Professor, Nepal. Dr. Pokhrel has published a number of research papers in national and international journals. His research areas are Applied and Computational Mathematics, especially in the modeling and computation of two-phase mass flow. He has participated and presented his research work in many national and international conferences and workshops. He has been teaching Numerical methods and computing, Differential equation courses in Bachelor’s degree program. He is life member of Nepal Mathematical Society (NMS).
